Od kilku dni ponad tysiąc pracowników słowackiej publicznej telewizji i radia RTVS protestuje przeciwko nowej ustawie rządowej, która ma rozwiązać obecne władze mediów i wybrać nowe kierownictwo. Decydujący głos będzie miała siedmioosobowa rada złożona w większości z przedstawicieli obozu władzy. Według dziennikarzy zmiany mają na celu podporządkowanie publicznych mediów nowej koalicji rządowej, na której czele stoi prorosyjski premier Robert Fico.
